Other Activities

JuleeAnn was able to participate in the famous Fisher Family Oktober Fest. Always a fun activity filled with various fun german games, music and of course, FOOD! Great brautwerst, weird cheese and other things!

Of course every couple in San Diego will make at least one trip to the wild Animal park.

Also another fun time we had was going to the Del Mar far. Here we one a little stuffed animal from throwing darts on to a few balloons.

Ok, Ok, so its not the toughest game to win a prize but we wanted some sort of stuffed animal to walk away with.

And you also have to have some of the random fried food at the fair. This is JuleeAnn trying our first fried oreo. It was pretty good.

Doane Pond day trip March 2009

So one of our favorite activities we did while we were dating was when we went to go fishing at Doane Pond up at Palomar mountain. JuleeAnn had only gone fishing once when she was little and hadn't yet caught a fish. So knowing that this is a pretty good fishing spot, we thought our chances would be good. Off of power bait JuleeAnn pulled in her first fish which actually ended up being the only fish we caught that day. After maybe a few minutes from pulling in the fish we decided to just prepare it and cook it up on the spot. The fish was pan-fried with crushed soda crackers and other various seasonings. It tasted AMAZING!

When we finished eating we packed up and went on a little hike through the meadow and forest. Then as we left the park to drive home, we stopped at the Palomar Observatory and looked at the neat pictures posted in the exhibit that had been captured by that telesope.

We drove back home and attempted to make some balsamic chicken which didn't turn out too well because we tried substituting honey with maple syrup(we didn't have any honey). It was... interesting.. but we had a great day together
